Josh Smith On Kenneth Faried: A Media Thug

Josh Smith had some harsh words for Denver Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried after his Detroit Pistons team lost 89-79 on opening night.

Faried had 22 points and 17 rebounds in the win and had words with Smith at the end of the game.

“Josh Smith, we let him keep shooting,” said Faried after the game. “And he ended up with 25, but he still kept shooting. He shot them out of the game.”

Smith swiftly responded to the trash talk.

“It’s a lot of social media,” said Smith. “I’m an older guy, I’m not on social media, Twitter, Instagram. It’s a lot of media thugs and Instagram gangstas, I would classify him in one of those categories.”

Faried referred to himself as a “Twitter or Instagram gangsta,” this past summer during Team USA play.

“I don’t respond to nobody with dreadlocks who plays basketball,” Smith said. “He’s a clown, quote me on that.

It should be noted that Smith’s teammate Cartier Martin wears dreadlocks.

“He knows it’s coming, he knows, next time we play,” he continued. “In order to make those comments like that, you gotta be able to back it up and we’ll see next time.

“I’ll have some words while I’m busting his (behind). I back it up when I talk. It’s gonna be a pretty good match up.”

Derrick Rose Is ‘Creepin On Ah Come Up’

He followed his last summer gold medal victory with an MVP award.
Team USA won the 2014 FIBA World Cup leading to a celebratory team Shmoney dance…except Derrick Rose.

Like the 2012 NBA All-Star game introductions, Rose refused to cut a rug with his enthusiastic teammates during the post-game celebration. He’s always been a silent assassin, and it’s been said that gangsters don’t dance, they boogie, and Rose proved he has plenty of Shake ‘n Bake left in his game.

But you won’t catch him doing the Harlem Shake. A point guard has an automatic instinct to think steps ahead. He’s won the gold, and now he’s thinking about a ring.  If you look very closely, you can see he’s plotting his next move.
